For synagogues

We list every shul. Partners get more.

The Mitzvah Guide is the modern bar/bat mitzvah vendor directory. Our partner program lets your synagogue publish a preferred-vendor list directly on your profile, route mitzvah inquiries to your office, and stop spending afternoons answering “who do you recommend for catering?” Free, no revenue share.

The deal

What we ask, what we don’t.

We ask:

  • · A named contact at your synagogue (mitzvah coordinator, executive director, or rabbi).
  • · Your preferred-vendor list, kept current. We’ll send a yearly reminder.
  • · An honest disclosure if you have a paid relationship with any vendor on the list (we’ll mark it; we won’t hide it).

We don’t ask for:

  • · Member contact information. We never want it.
  • · Exclusivity. Recommend us, recommend others, don’t recommend anyone — your call.
  • · Revenue share. There isn’t one.
  • · A long-term commitment. Cancel partnership status whenever you want.
FAQ

Questions clergy actually ask.

Are you a vendor?

No. We're a vendor directory — like a modern, neutral version of MitzvahMarket. We list every vendor in a metro, not just paying ones. Synagogues don't compete with us; we feed parents to you.

Why do you need our preferred-vendor list?

Parents in your community are going to ask their rabbi or executive director who to use for catering, DJ, photo. You probably already have a hand-curated list — we make it publicly findable on your page so parents don't have to email you for it. Saves your office hours.

Will you sell our member data?

Never. Your listing carries your public contact info only. Parent inquiries that go through your page are forwarded to your designated mitzvah coordinator and copied to no one else.

Do partner synagogues pay?

No. The partner program is free. Our revenue comes from the optional Vendor Pack subscription that vendors pay — which is unrelated to synagogue partnerships and never affects search ranking.

What if a recommended vendor turns out to be a problem?

You can remove them from your preferred list at any time. Your list is yours — we just publish it on your behalf.

Is this just for Reform / Conservative congregations?

No. We work with Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, Sephardic, Chabad, Reconstructionist, Renewal, and Independent congregations equally. The partnership terms are the same.

What about Chabad centers — many are part of a global network?

Chabad-Lubavitch centers operate independently, and we treat each one that way. The shliach can claim and partner the same as any other congregation.

Who's behind The Mitzvah Guide?

Jewish-owned, founder-led. We're naming a rabbinic advisor publicly before our nationwide launch. Email us if you'd like that conversation directly.

Ready to partner?

Email us with your synagogue name and a contact person. We’ll reply within two business days.
